Shy Amos, known professionally as ShySpeaks, is an American hip-hop(e) and spoken word artist, speaker, and advocate. With her soulful voice, thought-provoking lyrics, and commanding presence, Shy has captured audiences from San Francisco to the UK and beyond. Her artistry blends inspirational messages with undeniable skill, making her a powerful voice for change, faith, and empowerment. As she puts it, she’s on a mission to treat the words “artist, advocate, and activist” as one and the same. 

A proud Dallas native, Shy discovered her voice early on through oratorical contests, her musically gifted family, and in the church where she grew up.  During her teen years, she developed a passion for songwriting, transforming heartfelt poetry into melodic compositions.  Since releasing her debut EP, Addicted, while earning a Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, she has continuously pushed boundaries, carving out a space where hip-hop meets & social impact.

ShySpeaks' accomplishments are as versatile as her talent. She's shared stages with heavyweights like Ludacris, Kierra Sheard, Jeezy, Tye Tribbett, Rapsody, and Bun B, and her performances have earned her the title of “Spoken Word Artist of the Year” five times from one of Dallas' leading radio stations.  She's been featured on Grammy and Dove Award-winning albums.  Her innovative #FreeLunchFridays series has grown into a multi-volume EP collection.  On the speaker/host front, she recently co-hosted the Minding My Creative Business podcast.

Recognized for her community impact, Shy was awarded the Outstanding Performance in Art & Culture Award by the City of Dallas.  She is also the Founder and Organizer of Civilized Fest, a groundbreaking event “Where Civics & Culture Collide,” bringing together art, activism, and education in a unique and engaging format.  Non-profits and major business organizations, including The Dallas Cowboys, have tapped her for custom songs/poetry, speaking engagements, and creative collaborations.

Beyond music and poetry, Shy is dedicated to empowering other creatives through educational initiatives like the Automatic Booking Bootcamp, designed to streamline booking processes, and her latest venture, Savant Elite - focused on helping creative-based businesses control their operations, optimize their marketing efforts, and achieve sustainable profit growth. Her unwavering dedication to her craft and community continues to inspire audiences, proving that ShySpeaks is indeed a voice of this generation.
