Meet ShySpeaks

Shy Amos, also known as ShySpeaks, is an American hip hop and spoken word artist. With her soulful voice, thoughtful lyrics and irrepressible confidence Shy is winning fans from San Francisco to the UK and nations in between.  Her rhymes are brilliant, spiritual and introspective; she's on another level. Simply put, ShySpeaks is renaissance! As evident in her mission, “…to treat the words artist, advocate, and activist as one in the same”, the female lyricist is expanding her catalog of inspirational music and poetry to showcase a fresh, universal sound. Shy is a very proud native of Dallas, TX.

It was there that she found her VOICE through oratorical contest, among her musically-inclined family, and like so many musical icons before her, in the church she grew up in. During her teen years she discovered a gift for songwriting where she found creative freedom by adding melody to heartfelt poems.  Atlas, during her final semester of college 2011, while simultaneously matriculating a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Shy shook up the Hip-Hop & Poetry world as she told fans that codependency isn't so bad after all with the release of her independent debut EP "Addicted".

The resulting songs were lyrically provocative and emotionally moving, catching the ear of local music producers and artist who tapped her to pen lyrics for Reach Records affiliate J.Paul. She has received several awards for her inspirational commitment to her musical craft, talent and community while setting an outstanding example as a young, gifted and talented woman in the music and business industries, including being the 5x recipient of 'Spoken Word Artist of the Year' from Dallas’ leading gospel radio station.

ShySpeaks has also shared the stage with creators such as Ludacris, Torey Lanez, Tye Tribbett, Jeezy, Mali Music, Rapsody of 9th Wonders Jamla Records, Da'T.R.U.T.H, Poetic icons Jeanette...Ikz and Ezekiel and Grammy award winning legend Bun B.

Christened as a quintessential renaissance voice Shy is sought after by some of today’s top recording artists and organizations for her songwriting, custom poetry, and speaking skills. When she is not in the studio recording, writing or performing live; she is at the helm of our nation's most plaguing political and socio economic issues as a advocate for literacy.  Shy highlights the ingredients of her success to her faith in God, hard work, family and dedication. She is committed to ensuring that her fans receive the best of her with her third upcoming project, slated for a 2022 release. People who care about hip-hop and the spoken arts are anticipating Shy's debut album with baited breath.
